Coorg Coffee Roastery
COORG
The Essence of Coorg in a Cup
Shade-grown in the ancient coffee forests of Coorg. Every sip carries the terroir of the Western Ghats.
Nestled at 1,100 meters in the Western Ghats, our estate sits in Kodagu — India's undisputed coffee capital. Arabica and robusta grow beneath a canopy of silver oaks and rosewood, nurtured by monsoon rains and ancient volcanic soil.
Three generations of cultivation have refined our approach: shade-grown, hand-picked at peak ripeness, and sun-dried on raised beds — preserving every note of terroir in your cup.

Great coffee is not an accident. Every stage of our process is deliberate, unhurried, and guided by a single obsession: to deliver the purest expression of Coorg's landscape.
Our arabica grows under a canopy of silver oaks and jackfruit trees, slowing cherry maturation and concentrating sugars and complex flavour compounds.
Cherries are selectively hand-picked at peak ripeness — only the deep crimson ones. Our team moves through the estate three times per season for maximum quality.
We use a traditional sun-drying method on raised African beds. Cherries are turned every few hours to ensure even drying over 25–30 days.
Our small-batch roastery transforms green beans into their final character. Each origin is roasted to a unique profile that honours the terroir.
"25–30 days of sun-drying. Not a minute rushed."

Our estate is a living ecosystem. The same canopy that gives our beans their extraordinary complexity also shelters 140+ species of birds, filters the watershed, and cools the microclimate for miles around.
Every tree grows under a protective canopy that sequesters carbon and supports native bird species.
Natural processing methods use up to 90% less water than washed processing.
Our on-estate roastery runs on solar energy, reducing our carbon footprint to near zero.
Coffee pulp and husks are composted back into the estate, creating a closed-loop nutrient cycle.

The finest expression of Indian terroir I've encountered. Coorg Coffee tastes like the landscape it comes from — wild, layered, and unforgettable.

Our story begins in the mist-laden hills of Kodagu, Karnataka — where shade-grown coffee has been a way of life for over a century.

Our great-grandfather planted the first Arabica seedlings on 40 acres of forested hillside in Kodagu, inspired by traditional Coorg coffee cultivation practices.
The farm expanded to 120 acres under our grandfather's stewardship. He pioneered shade-growing techniques that became standard across Kodagu.
We became one of the first certified organic coffee farms in Karnataka, eliminating all chemical pesticides and embracing biodynamic soil management.
We installed our first small-batch drum roaster in Madikeri, closing the loop from farm to cup and launching direct-to-consumer relationships.
Coorg Coffee Roastery opens at The Gate Mall, Al Ghubra North, Muscat — bringing the essence of Kodagu to the Middle East.
Every coffee plant grows beneath a canopy of silver oak and pepper vines, preserving biodiversity and producing beans of extraordinary complexity.
Since 1989, certified organic. We use compost, green manure, and natural pest control — because great coffee starts with healthy soil.
Our micro-roastery processes in small batches to ensure precision, consistency, and the highest expression of each bean's terroir.
We pay fair wages and build long-term relationships with the 40+ farm workers who are the backbone of everything we produce.
Rainwater harvesting and closed-loop wet-processing stations mean our footprint on Coorg's precious freshwater is minimal.
We actively maintain wildlife corridors adjacent to our land, supporting the leopard, hornbill, and endemic flora of the Western Ghats.
